Atkinson Horns are all over the world! In particular the country of
Australia where they are well received. In support of this market Atkinson
went to Australia for the annual 42nd International Horn Symposium in
Brisbane. Our host Mr. Peter Luff did a remarkable job in coordinating this
monumental event which of course entails scheduling the artist with there
respective contributing artist. Some of the Horn artist included Nicole
Cash, Bill VerMeulen, Ben Jacks (Principal in Sydney Symphony) among so
many other fine Hornist. Andrew Bain principal horn of the Melbourne
Symphony Orchestra played his Atkinson-Geyer in a recital which included
the Mozart Horn quintet. His sound was rich,resonant and his playing was
musically flawless. Our booth was busy for all of the show as Australian
players wanted to know more about the NEW Atkinson Horns. We made many new
friends and thoroughly enjoyed the food, the wonderful Australian people
and there beautiful country! SPECIAL NOTE: Grand prize for the 42nd IHS
Solo Competition was a new Atkinson Double Horn which was awarded to the
winner Ms. Sharn McIver. Our congratulations to her and we are proud to of
supported the 42nd IHS Symposium with our model.
Many of you want know about the NEW model coming out? Stay tuned as this
remarkable horn will be displayed for the first time at the 43th IHS
Symposium.
