Dear Hornist & Friends, Well time is fast approaching for this years IHS Horn Symposium at San Francisco State University (June 20-25, 2011)and hosted by faculty member Wendell Rider. ATKINSON HORNS will have our newest creations on display and available for trial. Among these will be two new Geyer model Horns some with multiple flares and detachable leadpipe systems. Please stop by and play some Horns. It is always a pleasure to reconnect with our friends and fellow Hornist. Atkinson is now launching a NEW website which is dedicated to supplying parts and indeed complete valve sections for the Horn maker, repairman and novice. To Andrew Bain principal Horn of the Melbourne symphony who just won the audition for principal Horn of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra using his Atkinson-Geyer AG2000 to ace this position.
